# Connect your first channel

Customers reach you through **channels**. Connect at least one so conversations start arriving in your inbox. You can add more at any time.

:::tabs
@tab Email

Forward your support address to the private address shown under **Settings › Channels › Email**, for example `acme-support@in.relaypoint.example`.

Replies go out from your own address, so customers never see Relaypoint.

@tab Live chat

Paste the widget snippet before the closing `</body>` tag of your site:

```html
<script src="https://widget.relaypoint.example/v1.js"
        data-workspace="acme-support" async></script>
```

The widget picks up your brand colour automatically.

@tab API

Create conversations from your own app with one request:

```bash
curl https://api.relaypoint.example/v1/conversations \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $RELAYPOINT_KEY" \
  -d customer_email=alex@example.com \
  -d subject="Order #1042 hasn't arrived"
```

See [Integrations & API](docs:section/dsec_az9e5fjk9tfgbsxy) for the full reference.
