# Get to know Relaypoint

Relaypoint is a shared inbox for support teams. Email, live chat and API messages arrive in one place, where your team can **assign**, **reply** and **resolve** them together, without forwarding threads or stepping on each other's replies.

## Key terms

| Term         | Meaning                                                                |
| ------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Workspace    | Your company's account. It holds inboxes, people and settings.         |
| Inbox        | A stream of conversations, usually one per support address or product. |
| Conversation | One thread with one customer, across any channel.                      |
| Agent        | A teammate who answers conversations. Each agent uses one seat.        |
